Samuel Weeks –  MA in social and cultural anthropology from the University of Lisbon’s Institute of Social Sciences (ICS-UL). He studied at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) in 2005 and worked on the Island of Fogo in Cape Verde from 2006 to 2008. Currently, he is a doctoral student at the University of California, Los Angeles, where his advisors are Nancy Levine, Sherry Ortner and Sondra Hale.
